About James
From the Royal Navy to the cutting edge of AI.
I started my career as a Warfare Specialist in the Royal Navy, serving on HMS Ark Royal and HMS Illustrious. Radar operations, communications, seamanship — it taught me precision, discipline, and how to stay calm under pressure. Skills that translate directly into technology delivery.
After leaving the Navy I built a 15-year Salesforce career from the ground up — starting as an admin at Yodel and working my way through senior consultant roles at Capgemini, through implementations across the UK, Australia, and Brazil.
Today I sit at the intersection of Salesforce and AI. I’ve built production AI agents, integrated LLMs into enterprise systems, and delivered results that most businesses didn’t think were possible this quickly or cheaply.
Outside of work, I’m a passionate sailor. I own a Coaster 33 sailing yacht and a 58-foot canal boat — both of which I’ve fully renovated myself. I’ve sailed from South to North Wales and circumnavigated Anglesey. Next goals: Isle of Man, Ireland, and Scotland. I’m also a keen guitarist.
In three years, alongside working full time, I fully renovated both boats from the hull up — teaching myself marine electrics, plumbing, solar systems, heating, welding, and engine maintenance from scratch. No shortcuts, no giving up halfway. That’s just how I approach things.
The same mindset that drives me to take on a full boat renovation — patience, attention to detail, and seeing a project through no matter what — is exactly what I bring to every client engagement.
